Bringing the tropics to You!

My Jungle Garden
I live on the West Coast in USDA Zone 8 where temperatures drop down to between 10°-20° F. (-5° to -10° C.) It is not uncommon every 10 to 20 years to have temperatures dip overnight to 0° F. (-16° C.)
Most of my plants are hardy to Zone 8. Others are hardy with wind and/or mulch protection. The semi-hardy are described as such and can be taken outdoors in April/May and kept out until September/October.
I am pleased to offer this collection of extraordinary plants from around the world. My goal is to supply you with those special garden varieties that are not commonly found in the local garden nurseries.
I have experimented for years and found 4 types of gardens that appeal to me. The Mediterranean Garden, the Oriental Garden, the Jungle Garden and the Desert Garden. Over the years I have incorporated these styles around my home and found it to be extremely beautiful and rewarding.

No Exotic garden is complete without the Tropical garden walk. Don't forget your machete.
Below: Trellises play an important roll in the garden. I hang my flowering tropical plants under the grapes and Kiwis in it through spring and summer.
No Garden is complete without a Pond and Waterfall.
